Tactical Emergency Casualty Care - Active Bystanders (advanced)
The 3-day TECC - AB Advanced course is intended for everybody that have attended our TECC - AB course, and wants to be even better prepared for civilian mass casualty or high threat events.
The advanced course is based on 3 days of highly realistic scenario training in a simulated threat enviroment.
In between scenarios there will be several short lectures to give a better understanding of the subjects covered under TECC - AB.

To attend this you must have passed our TECC - AB basic course.
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) is a set of evidenced-based and best practice trauma care guidelines for civilian high-threat pre-hospital environments. The TECC guidelines are built upon the critical medical lessons learned by US and allied military forces over the past 15 years of conflict and codified in the doctrine of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). Using the military TCCC guidelines as a starting point, the Committee creates the civilian high threat medical guidelines through a process of literature research, evidence evaluation, expert discussion, and civilian best practices review. The TECC guidelines are built upon the foundations of TCCC but are different to meet the unique needs of the civilian medical and operational environments
Learning objectives:
- Master the application of tourniquets in a wide range of situations and conditions.
- Master the use of bandages and dressings, both for extremity and junctional injuries.
- Master essential hypothermia prevention measures in a practical enviroment.
- Master the management of thoracic injuries, including application of chest seals.
- Be able to recognize the importance and potential pitfalls with regards to casualty evacuation in a practical setting.
- Have a very good understanding for the different phases of treatment under TECC, including situational awareness.

Minimum 6 students to run. Max 10 students per course to maintain hands on time.
